ROSANNA BLACK SPACKMAN
Funeral services for Mrs Rosanna Black Spackman age
87, were conducted in
the sixth ward (Sunday) under direction of Bishop
Reed L. Hart.
Mrs Spackman died here Thursday Sept. 19, 1935
following a brief illness.
She came from Inkpen Common Wiltshire England.
Crossing the plains with the
early pioneers. She moved from Richmond to
Preston at the death of her
husband in 1925, after having spent the greater part
of her life there.
Speakers for the occasion were Eugene Beckstead,
Preston: Bishop George O.
Webb, Richmond and Bishop Hazen Spackman Lewistown,
Ut.
Remarks were made by Bishop Hart. Each
commented on the excellent character
of the deceased and of the personal experiences in
her life. Vocal numbers
were rendered by the Trenton quartet and Ward choir.
A duet by Mrs Thos
Ramson and Mrs. Laura Gamble and there was also a
duet by Ezra Corbridge,
and Mrs. Vesta Lewis.
Prayers were offered by Walter Rawlings and Martin
Shaffer. Interment was
held in the Richmond cemetery with John Spackman
dedicating the grave.
